I give this light four and a half stars (but the review only let me choose four).

An exceptionally well-focused beam must make this the 2AAA light with the best “throw” of any model. Although the beam is ‘pencil-thin’, it has wide sidespill that is bright enough for easy walking down a path, etc. (but with some ring artifacts). Before I received this light, I was skeptical about its claim of 6000 candlepower, but that seems about right because it has slightly better “throw” (but a thinner beam) than my Streamlight Propolymer 2AA xenon, which is rated at 4500 CP. With the Tracker, I was lighting up objects about 100 yards away at dusk in an urban environment. In pitch black darkness I could probably light up objects 200 yards away or more.

The Tracker is of high quality construction. In fact, with its smooth clear bezel it looks like an exotic underwater scientific instrument that should be attached to the outside of Jacques Cousteau's mini-sub for “a closer look at zee tiny sea anemone”. This is the 2AAA xenon keychain light to get, though it’s a bit bulkier than most lights in this class.
