* In vehicle installations do not connect the fast charger to a switched power source. The Fast Charger must be connected directly to the vehicle battery or to the unswitched side of the ignition through a 2 amp fuse. Use a lighter plug only if the vehicle lighter socket is not switched off by the ignition switch and only if the plug fits the lighter securely. There is a risk of battery damage or explosion if the fast charger power supply is repeatedly switched "off" and "on." When the charger is delivering maintenance rate, the drain on a vehicle battery is minimized.

I had the classic neon years ago. I got the generation 2 ...140 lumen which was ok...than I upgraded to generation 3 which had 180 lumen...little better. This new G4 350 lumen is a big jump in power. I would say this is a great unit finally. This light projects a nice throw with no hot spots.. The l.e.d. Is pure white color. The new fast charger in gray has a brighter on board l.e.d. With diagnostic light flashing. The d.c. Cord is now three prong which holds better into non cig. Lighter auxiliary sockets...plus it's easier to install...major kudos to streamlight on this upgrade...I still haven't figured out the difference between the black batteries and green ones other than they type.. I do wish there was a diffuser lens for this light.. Which would be great for close up area searches..my .02 . Brightguy has the shipping down to a science too. Always been great to deal with.

I had a feeling it was about time for Streamlight to update one of their most popular models...and it finally happened with this late 2012 release of the Stinger with a new LED (350 lumens). This new LED module appears to be a Cree XP-G2. The light has great build quality with perfect dimensions. The beam profile is greatly improved with the half-textured reflector which adds a smooth, artifact-free beam that shines a great distance and supplies ample peripheral illumination. The 3 brightness settings are great. Durability is also unreal; it has already been accidentally dropped on asphalt without even a scar on the black finish. Every light I own (and ones i recommend to my colleagues) have come from BrightGuy.

Streamlight makes great rechargeable flashlights, and this new 140 lumen Stinger LED doesn't disappoint. I have other Stinger lights, so I just ordered the light only. I got it in just a few days of placing my order. This is now my favorite flashlight. I really like the fact that it has 3 brightness modes. So, when I don't need as much light, I can use one of the lower output settings and get a really long runtime.

This is the best improvement in light tech since the rechargable battery. I have been using the Stinger flashlights at work for aircraft inspection for several years, on a daily basis, the C4 LED is super, much more light and a much longer run time than the old bulbs. I am replacing my old lights with the new technology. Great light, the only thing brighter is the Super Tac. Thanks guys.
