TerraLUX LightStar 80 LED Aluminum Penlight

The TerraLUX LightStar 80 Aluminum Penlight features a high CRI LED that won't wash out colors. For example, this is especially useful for electrical work when you need to see wire colors. My EDC light and I use it constantly at work (aircraft mechanic). The color temperature is perfect, great for identifying different wires, colors, etc. My only gripe is that it can be a little heavy in a shirt pocket if you're wearing a regular cotton tshirt. In 6 months of use, its seen a fair share of drops, bumps and such but not so much as a hiccup in operation. I should really buy a couple more to stash!

Excellent light. I like the momentary feature and the color of the light is softer leaning towards the soft white end and does not disturb your night vision as bad when you light it up. The battery life if excellent on 2AAA alkalines. I am very pleased with the weight in my shirt pocket as I wear Pocket T's for work alot and it does not drag my pocket down.

my only regret is that I should have purchased more of the sets when they were still 2 for 30 dollars.

Heavier then the stylus pro. Larger rubber grip is nice, the color is a soft yellow. Its is bright but doesn't seem to be twice as bright as the stylus pro. Its good.

I have one of these pen lights in the glove box of my car for emergencies and another in a kitchen drawer in case the power goes out. i also have the Light Star 220 flashlight from Terralusx and both are made well and have worked fine for me. i know i can rely on these flashlights to work when i need them to.

What a great little pen light! I always have one on me in case of emergencies. The batteries last a VERY long time. I've had mine for a few months and use it about every other day, and I haven't had to change the batteries yet! For the price, you can't go wrong getting a few of these lights to have on hand.

I bought 2 Light Star penlights for work. I love the color temperature - great for seeing different colored wires. The pocket clip is very handy. I plan on giving another 3 of them as gifts. They work like a charm!

perfect color temperature! I've been looking for a AAA penlight with rubber where you hold it with your teeth in lieu of adding a stach of 'O' rings to save enamel. bright, sharp machining and a nice clip. I bought 3 - all 3 have failed. one now simply blinks occasionally, the second is always only half bright and the third failed utterly and completly. Full battery voltage, no polarization issues, simply faulty circuit boards.
