All Pelican flashlights use high-intensity Xenon, Halogen or LED lamps that generate high-quality beams. Pelican's computerized spot reflectors open up the light pattern slightly to give a powerful in-focus beam without annoying black spots or shadows.

Pelican has recently introduced their new Recoil LED Technology. By pointing the LED backwards into the reflector, 100 percent of the light is captured and projected forward, producing a squared spot beam. It's a true collimated beam with no peripheral projection. Pelican's Recoil LED Technology is available in a variety of new lights.
