The concept of a headlamp seems so obvious now . . . But in 1972, when Petzl invented the first headlamp, the idea of attaching a light and its battery case to a headband was quite innovative. A hands free light source that can be directed where needed allows the user to perform almost any activity. Headlamps have now become an important factor in safety and efficiency. Through innovative use of technology (LED's and current regulators), impact-resistant materials and a diverse product line, Petzl has designed a range of headlamps that can be used in many situations, from the simplest tasks to the most demanding work and rescue applications.

Petzl is able to guarantee the lighting performance of their headlamps be testing each bulb and by the rigorous selection of the best white LED's on the world market. All Petzl headlamps are individually monitored and tested.

Headlamps with two types of lighting combined allow the light source to be adapted to the user's needs. The new Petzl MYO XP gives you a focused beam with three lighting levels, a flip up lens for flood-beam close-up lighting plus a powerful Boost mode.
