Worth the price as a camping, fishing or around the house lantern. Doesn't have the throw of an incandescent or halogen 6 volt lantern, but will out burn them by many hours. It is good for illuminating objects on a dark, moonless night out to about 100 yards. My guess is its light output is 150-200 lumens. Fairly rugged construction as well. I use it in my security job. I rate it 4 stars out of 5 stars.
