As a welding inspector I'm constantly in need of a good flashlight. After years of trial and error, I purchased a Gerber LX3 hoping it would perform to my expectations. It has proven itself to be extemely rugged. I've dropped it numerous times from heights of six feet or more onto steel and concrete floors and it continues to run flawlessly. Running on three AA batteries makes it inexpensive and it has a 50 hour burn time, which is great. For the money you won't find a better flashlight
