Rechargeable Survivor LED models include alkaline battery tray. So, in a pinch, you can throw in 4 AA batteries. Also, the Streamlight Survivor LED uses the same charger as the Survivor with a Xenon bulb. This means that if you already own a Streamlight Survivor and wish to upgrade to the new Survivor LED, you can purchase the Survivor LED without chargers - part # 90500 or 90510. **
