I just got the Surefire pen a month ago. It has a nice heft and balance. The pen accepts many types of refills but I plan to stick to the Schmidt 9000 that it comes with. The ink is dark, pure black and never skips. It almost has the quality of a gel pen but writes dry like a regular ballpoint. I have many pens that cost hundreds more but this is my favorite for now.
