The Weems & Plath Sirius SOS Distress Light is the only LED Visual Distress Signal Device that meets U.S. Coast Guard requirements to completely replace traditional pyrotechnic flares. The C-1001 is simple to operate – simply twist the lens to activate the SOS signal. The beam is visible for up to 10 nautical miles and can run up to 60 hours per battery set, versus traditional flares that last mere seconds. The waterproof design can float and never needs to be replaced or disposed of.
