Flashlights for Backpacking
When choosing a flashlight for backpacking be sure to consider battery type in addition to the size and weight of the flashlight. You’ll want to bring spare batteries alone on your journey. Flashlights running on lithium or  rechargeable lithium-ion batteries perform better in temperature extremes. A lightweight headlamp is also great to take along. Many have a low light red LED. It provides enough light to navigate in the dark plus extra long runtime.
